China's Li Na and Australia's Samantha Stosur have confirmed that they will be competing at next year's Rogers Cup.
Both players, who won the first Grand Slams of their careers this year, have joined Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Vera Zvonareva and Marion Bartoli in announcing their intentions to play in the Canadian tournament in August 2012.
"Seven of the ten best players in the world are now enrolled in our tournament and they are seven of the most popular athletes on tour," said Eugene Lapierre, director of the Rogers Cup.
"In 2011, Li Na and Samantha Stosur came out of the shadow by winning their first title in a Grand Slam and we expect them to shine again in the next season."
US Open champion Stosur lost to Serena Williams in the 2011 final of the Rogers Cup.
