Hello, and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match between Marcel Granollers and Roger Federer in the third round of the US Open.
Federer, a five-time winner at Flushing Meadows, has looked in sublime form in his opening two contests as he continues to look for his 18th Grand Slam title.
Granollers, the world number 42, went the distance to progress past Ivo Karlovic in the last 64, but he has failed to take a set off Federer in their previous two encounters.
Please note, this match is scheduled to start at approximately 8pm, BST.
On that note, we are going to end our coverage of this match for now, but fear not, we will be back later.
That's your lot for now, folks. Everyone is taking cover as thunder and lightning begins to descend on Flushing Meadows. A huge deluge is expected so we could be off for a while.
There's as much attention towards the skies as there is on court, but if you are more concerned with the weather, you would have missed a great game from both players. Federer gets to 15-30 after finally forcing mistakes out of Granollers but the world number 42 looks extremely composed and a volley into the corner takes him one game away from the set. I don't think he will get a chance to serve it out though...
A drive volley is converted into the corner by Federer for 30-0 but that's quickly followed by a look up to the heavens - we will be coming off very shortly. The Swiss holds to love. There are some huge lightning bolts in the area.

Despite his improvement in that last game, Federer quickly finds himself 40-0 down but the game isn't over as the Swiss storms back with a flat backhand winner that whizzes past Granollers. The Spaniard holds though, and he re-opens a three-game advantage.
That is more like it. Federer starts the fourth game in trademark fashion, dominating the points from all areas of the court before holding to love. Bad news though I'm afraid - I think a humdinger of a storm is on its way.
Granollers makes it 10 straight points with a forehand winner into the open court, but Federer finally gets a point when Granollers nets. It's a minor blip for the Spaniard though, who converts a sharp volley at the net to open up a 3-0 lead.
BREAK! This is very unlike Roger Federer. Granollers is playing well, but the Swiss looks tight and remarkably, he drops serve to love! What a start for the Spaniard.
It's a fast start from Granollers, who lands with three well-aimed serves on the way to holding to love. He couldn't have asked for better than that.
So then, the two players have completed their warm-up. We are ready to go on Arthur Ashe Stadium court.
Federer has coasted through his opening two matches on the East Coast, coming through both matches in straight sets. However, it's been a different story for Granollers, who was taken the distance by big-serving Ivo Karlovic a couple of days ago. The world number 42 might have to go five sets once again if he is to stand any chance of making the last 16.
After that epic in the New York heat between Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki, it's time for five-time champion Roger Federer to take to court against Spain's Marcel Granollers. This contest is expected to be a bit more one-sided than Wozniacki's win over Sharapova, but with temperatures soaring at Flushing Meadows, who knows...
