Stanislas Wawrinka looking forward to Donald Young clash

French Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka brands Donald Young "a tough player" ahead of their meeting in the fourth round of the US Open.

Stanislas Wawrinka has revealed that he is looking forward to taking on America's Donald Young in the fourth round of the US Open on Monday.

The Swiss will clash with the home favourite at Flushing Meadows after overcoming Ruben Bemelmans in the third round of the competition.

Wawrinka has praised the credentials of Young, who has made the fourth round of the US for just the second time in his professional career.

"It's going to be exciting match for sure. I watched a little bit his match. He came back again. After the first round he came back two sets to zero down," Wawrinka told reporters.

"He's a tough player. He improved a lot. Especially his attitude on the court, he's fighting way more. He's always trying. He has a nice game to watch. He tries to get the crowd with him. So it's going to be, for sure, a great match to play against him."

Wawrinka, who won the French Open earlier this year, reached the semi-finals of the US Open in 2013.
