Xavier Malisse comes from a set behind to beat Fernando Verdasco in five sets to make the last 16 at Wimbledon.

Xavier Malisse has won through to the fourth round at Wimbledon after defeating Fernando Verdasco in five sets.

Malisse, who made the semi-finals at SW19 in 2002, lost the opening set, but he won three of the next four to set up a match with either Roger Federer or Julian Benneteau.

Verdasco had began the match in the ascendency as he raced to a 6-1 win in the opener.

However, Malisse stuck with the Spaniard in the second set and edged it on a tie-break, before going on to win the third set 6-4.

Verdasco hit back in the fourth set to force a decider, but Malisse used his grass-court experience to win the final set and seal a 1-6 7-6 6-4 4-6 6-3 win.
