AC Milan striker Alessandro Matri has insisted that it would not be a sign of disrespect if he celebrated scoring against Juventus this weekend.
Matri visits his former club in a clash between Serie A heavyweights on Sunday night, still looking for his first Milan goal after failing to net in seven appearances for the Rossoneri.
The 29-year-old revealed that he has received kinds words from former Juve teammates in the build-up to this weekend's clash, after a difficult start to his second spell at the San Siro.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I think I would celebrate. I don't think that would be a sign of disrespect.
"Scoring means celebrating for me. I did so against Cagliari so I don't see why I should not against Juventus.
"I have a good relationship with many of the Juventus players, a few have sent me text messages encouraging me because I'm struggling to score."
Massimiliano Allegri's men have made an underwhelming start to their Serie A campaign, winning just two of their first six league games to sit ninth in the table.
