Accrington Stanley boss James Beattie has revealed that he is hopeful of signing former Rangers winger Kal Naismith before the start of the new season.
The 21-year-old, who has previously represented Scotland at youth level, impressed for the club in their 1-1 pre-season draw with Tranmere Rovers at the weekend.
"I think there's a very talented footballer in Kal. His confidence needs boosting and I think he thrives on responsibility," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"I said to him before I want to see you go out there and enjoy playing football because you're a good player, I want to see you smiling and as you've seen he is a totally different player, he's a special player."
Former Manchester United striker Danny Webber is also on trial at the club.
