Diego Maradona keen to coach in China

Diego Maradona claims that he would like to coach in China after losing his job at United Arab Emirates side Al Wasl.

Argentina legend Diego Maradona has revealed that he would like to manage in China following his departure from Al Wasl.

The 51-year-old was sacked from the United Arab Emirates club last month after taking them to eighth in the league.

"I would like to coach in China," the China Daily quotes Maradona as saying. "I wish to contribute to the development of China's youth football."

Maradona, who is the father-in-law to Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, is currently in China on a charity trip.
