Arsene Wenger hands Olivier Giroud a starting role for Arsenal's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain, while Unai Emery shuffles his pack due to injuries.

Arsene Wenger has handed Olivier Giroud a starting role for Arsenal's key Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium.

The French striker has been largely used as an impact player this term, but he has been given the nod to start this evening's potentially decisive Group A showdown in North London.

David Ospina, Kieran Gibbs and Alex Iwobi also return to the first-team fold from the 1-1 draw with Manchester United last time out, with Petr Cech, Nacho Monreal, Mohamed Elneny and Theo Walcott the men to miss out.

Giroud's inclusion fresh on the back of his late leveller at Old Trafford means that Alexis Sanchez will start from a wide position, alongside Mesut Ozil and the fresh legs of Iwobi.

The visitors are without a number of key players, meanwhile, including former Man United wideman Angel Di Maria who failed a late fitness test on a thigh injury.

With Javier Pastore also absent, Blaise Matuidi will join Edinson Cavani and Lucas Moura in a front three, with PSG - and indeed Arsenal - knowing that three points this evening will seal top spot in the group.

Arsenal: Ospina, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Gibbs, Coquelin, Ramsey, Alexis, Ozil, Iwobi, Giroud
Subs: Cech, Monreal, Gabriel, Xhaka, Elneny, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott

Paris Saint-Germain: Areola; Maxwell, T.Silva, Marquinhos, Meunier; Motta, Krychowiak, Verratti; Matuidi, Cavani, Lucas
Subs: Trapp, Kimpembe, Ben Arfa, Jese, Nkunku, Augustin, Ikone
