Former Arsenal winger Perry Groves believes that Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama would be an excellent signing for the Gunners.
Wanyama's performances this season have seen him linked with a big-money move away from the SPL club, and Groves has insisted that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger should be at the front of the queue if the Kenyan international becomes available.
The 48-year-old told The Express: "I really like Wanyama – he is destined for big things.
"He may be young but he plays for a massive club, has lots of experience for a young player, and he fits the Wenger model – he is hungry, strong and technically very good.
"He would offer real protection for the back four, and a real thrust and drive going forward."
The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals in 91 appearances since his arrival at Celtic Park in 2011.
