Danny Welbeck disappointed by North London derby performance

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck admits that he did not perform as he would have liked during Saturday's North London derby.

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has admitted that he is disappointed by his performance during Saturday's North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

The local rivals shared the spoils at the Emirates Stadium this weekend as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cancelled out Nacer Chadli's opener.

Despite the Gunners coming out of the match with a point, Welbeck does not believe that he performed to his usual standards, particularly in the second half.

"In the first half I was more of a threat, in the second I didn't really feel like I did as much as I should have," he told the club's official website.

"I am a bit disappointed with that and I will work on the training pitch with the rest of the players and hopefully be involved much more throughout our games."

Arsenal continue their Champions League campaign on Wednesday when they entertain Galatasaray.
