The playmaker missed the Gunners' 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon with shoulder complaint, but the French boss insists that it was not a serious one.
"It is an inflamed shoulder," Wenger told Sky Sports News. "It should be maybe [keep Ozil out] one more week, maybe less, I don't know, but not a long time."
Wenger's side are now top of the Premier League.
