Arsenal are expected to move for Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo this summer, according to reports.
The Italian's current deal expires in the summer and Arsene Wenger would be able to sign the player on a free transfer.
Montolivo has been a target for Wenger in the past but previous enquiries have been rejected by Fiorentina.
Wenger's colleague Boro Primorac was reportedly present at the Italian side's 2-2 Serie A draw with Genoa in an attempt to scout Montolivo closely, The Mirror reports.
The 27-year-old has represented Italy on 32 occasions, scoring one goal.
