Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea reportedly watched Moussa Diaby in Bayer Leverkusen's recent Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

Scouts from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea allegedly watched Moussa Diaby in Bayer Leverkusen's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid last week.

The 23-year-old found the back of the net in his side's 2-0 success over Atletico, registering in the 87th minute after Robert Andrich had made the breakthrough three minutes earlier.

Diaby joined Leverkusen from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019, representing the German outfit on 134 occasions, scoring 36 goals and contributing 39 assists in the process.

The Frenchman has had a slow start to this season, only managing one goal and two assists in 10 appearances, but he was in strong form for Die Werkself last term, scoring 17 goals and registering 14 assists in 42 outings in all competitions.

There was speculation surrounding the attacker's future over the summer, with Newcastle United believed to have expressed an interest before being put off by Leverkusen's high asking price.

According to 90min, Arsenal, Spurs, Man City and Chelsea all had scouts at Leverkusen's game with Atletico to watch Diaby in action.

The report claims that Newcastle also watched the forward, with the Magpies considering reigniting their interest during the January transfer window.

Diaby came through the youth system at PSG, representing the French giants on 34 occasions in all competitions before making the move to his current side on a five-year contract.

According to Bild, Leverkusen currently value the forward in the region of £63m, as they have him on a contract until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Arsenal are still believed to be in the market for a wide forward, having allowed Nicolas Pepe to make the move to Nice on loan in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are expected to give new head coach Graham Potter money to spend in January, with the 47-year-old thought to be keen to improve his options in the final third of the field.

Man City allowed Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling to leave over the summer, and the Citizens are also open to adding another wide attacker in 2023.

Meanwhile, Spurs boss Antonio Conte recently said that his team need at least two more transfer windows before being considered as genuine title contenders, with the Italian keen to further boost his squad despite being active during the recent market.

Newcastle also have the spending power to compete for Diaby, with the Magpies becoming one of the richest clubs in world football due to their recent takeover.
