Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas could be lining up a move for Arsenal's Marouane Chamakh, according to reports.
Spurs have been forced to start the season with Jermain Defoe as their only recognised striker and Villas-Boas is desperate to add to his striking ranks.
He has been frustrated in his attempts to secure the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor and it is now believed he is eyeing up a move for Chamakh, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Moroccan rarely featured for the Gunners last season and after he was left out of the Arsenal squad to play Sunderland at the weekend, it is expected that manager Arsene Wenger would not be against allowing the 28-year-old to leave the club.
