Ivan Gazidis: 'Arsenal deep in transfer talks'

Ivan Gazidis reveals that Arsenal are "deep in conversations" to bring new players to the club this summer.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has revealed that the club are "deep in conversations" to bring in new players this summer.

The Gunners, who rounded off last season by winning the FA Cup to add to their fourth-place finish in the Premier League, have been linked with an array of star names during the off-season but are yet to bolster their squad.

"Transfers are obviously important and we are deep in conversations already," Gazidis is quoted as saying by BT Sport. "I am confident we will add what we need this summer.

"The manager is not scared to spend, has the experience, but as always will have to juggle a set budget."

He added: "We are all really pleased with securing Champions League qualification again. Last season was a great experience for players to win the FA Cup and now we want more."

Manager Arsene Wenger signed a new deal at the club last week.
