Lukas Podolski: "My chapter with Arsenal is not closed"

Lukas Podolski hints that his Arsenal career may not be over despite being shipped out on loan to Inter Milan for the second half of this season.

Lukas Podolski has hinted that he could still have a future with Arsenal, despite joining Inter Milan on loan in January.

The 29-year-old grew impatient with a lack of first-team opportunities at the Emirates and was eventually sent out to Inter, where his performances have been widely criticised so far.

The German is yet to find the net in nine matches for the Italian outfit but insists that he doesn't regret the move, and revealed that he turned down a clause in his contract for Inter to buy him at the end of the season.

"I don't regret joining Inter. I was the one who did not want a clause because now I can evaluate everything in the summer freely and make a decision then," Podolski is quoted as saying by The Guardian.

"My chapter with Arsenal is not closed. I still have a year left on my contract and always got on really well with the guys and the fans.

"Things may not have gone according to plan so far at Inter but I always want to look at the positives."

Podolski scored 31 goals in 82 games during his time with the Gunners.
