Arsenal are reportedly on course to bring in Yannick Carrasco from Dalian Yifang after opening talks for the Belgian winger.
The Gunners are believed to have focused all their efforts on signing Carrasco and Barcelona ace Denis Suarez in the remaining hours of the winter window after missing out on Ivan Perisic.
Barca boss Ernesto Valverde confirmed on Tuesday that Suarez is close to arriving at the Emirates Stadium on an initial loan deal, and a similar arrangement is being thrashed out for Carrasco.
Sky Sport Italia claims that Arsenal are locked in discussions with Dalian to bring in the 25-year-old for the second half of the season, before potentially signing him permanently in the summer when more funds will be available.
The Belgium international, also linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this month, has scored seven goals in 26 games for the Chinese side since joining from Atletico Madrid last February.
