Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is reportedly wanted by Roma on a permanent basis after impressing during his time on loan in the Italian capital.
The 26-year-old joined the Serie A side in the summer of 2015 and extended his initial season-long loan by another campaign during the most recent transfer window.
Szczesny has earned many plaudits from Roma boss Luciano Spalletti with his performances this term, with Calcio Mercato claiming that the Giallorossi now want to keep him at the Stadio Olimpico for the long term.
However, the same report indicates that Arsenal see Szczesny as a replacement for ageing keeper Petr Cech - who is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium in 2019 - and are therefore reluctant to sell.
Szczesny was available for around £15m during the summer transfer window, but Roma could not find the funds to sign him at the time and the Gunners have since made a U-turn.
