Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has admitted that having Darren Bent would help their cause as they fight to remain in the Premier League.
The Midlands club have struggled for goals this season, while Bent has enjoyed a successful loan spell at Derby County in the Championship.
With Villa just three points above the relegation zone, and a trip to Old Trafford on the horizon, Sherwood wishes Bent were present to boost their hopes of survival.
Sherwood told reporters: "He's a goalscorer and if he gets chances he will score. I'd like to have him here now, put it that way. You can't have enough goalscorers in your building.
"I'm not sure what stage he went out. I would have looked at the options I had."
Bent has scored seven goals at Derby, and his contract is set to expire at Villa this summer.
