Oscar de Marcos: 'Champions League spot not safe'

Athletic Bilbao midfielder Oscar de Marcos calls on his side to remain focused in their battle for a top-four spot in La Liga.

Athletic Bilbao midfielder Oscar de Marcos has warned his side that a Champions League position is not yet secure in La Liga.

The Basque outfit currently sit in fourth spot in the table, six points clear of fifth-place Real Sociedad with just seven games remaining.

However, the Spaniard has called on his team to focus in the remaining weeks of the campaign.

"The end of the season is very difficult. The stakes are higher for everyone," he told reporters at a press conference.

"The teams behind us have closed the gap, but we still have an advantage and we'll fight until the end."

Bilbao have won 16 of their 31 league games this season.
