Gorka Elustondo backing Raul Garcia to thrive at Athletic Bilbao

Raul Garcia will thrive in his new surroundings at Athletic Bilbao, according to fellow summer signing outfit Gorka Elustondo.

Athletic Bilbao defender Gorka Elustondo has said that he believes Raul Garcia will add "experience, personality and character" to the Basque outfit's team this season.

Garcia made the move to San Mames in the latter stages of the summer transfer window, having departed Atletico Madrid after eight years with the capital club.

Elustondo, who also joined Bilbao this summer from Real Sociedad, has said that the openness of the club's dressing room will make Garcia's transition easy.

"The same happened to me, welcomed with open arms. He's feeling very comfortable in the locker room and will contribute a lot," Elustondo is quoted as saying by AS.

"He has a lot of experience, personality and character and will spread it to the group."

Bilbao have lost both of their La Liga games in the new season.
