Antoine Griezmann has conceded that he did not play well against Chelsea as Atletico Madrid fell to a 2-1 defeat in their Champions League encounter.
The Spanish giants went in at the break a goal up after the Frenchman fired home a penalty in the 40th minute of Wednesday's game at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Alvaro Morata, however, equalised for Antonio Conte's side on the hour before Michy Batshuayi scored a dramatic late winner to condemn Atletico to a heartbreaking defeat.
"It was a difficult game," Griezmann is quoted by Marca as saying. "Ultimately it wasn't to be, but we have many games remaining and we need to win them all.
"We missed a better performance from me. Apart from the goal, I did not play well; it was not a good day for me. We must keep working."
"In the first half they were better than us and we responded well in the second. We tried until the end, but it wasn't to be. They were better on the day and we recognise that."
Atletico are still searching for their first win in this season's Champions League.
