Junior Firpo has reportedly told Real Betis that he wants to join Barcelona in this summer's transfer window.
Barca have been strongly linked with a move for the 22-year-old in recent weeks, with the Spanish champions looking to provide Jordi Alba with some competition at left-back.
Betis are said to have dropped their asking price from £32m to £23m, although Barca are allegedly still only prepared to pay just over £18m to land the former Spain Under-21 international.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Firpo has now told Los Verdiblancos that he wants to move to Camp Nou before the transfer window closes at the start of September.
Firpo, who was born in the Dominican Republic but moved to Spain at the age of six, scored three times in 29 appearances for his Seville club during the 2018-19 campaign.
Liverpool and Manchester United have also both been linked with the defender this summer.
