Liverpool to offer £12m for Cristian Tello?

Liverpool are hoping to sign Cristian Tello if Barcelona are successful in appealing against their transfer ban.

Liverpool have reportedly placed Cristian Tello high on a list of potential transfer targets ahead of the summer window.

Brendan Rodgers is believed to be an admirer of the Barcelona forward, and the club are hopeful that a £12m offer could be enough to secure his services, according to The Mirror.

However, any deal will depend on the outcome of Barcelona's appeal to overturn a 14-month transfer ban, which was imposed on them by FIFA earlier this month.

Despite the potential stumbling block, Liverpool officials are believed to have made contact with Barcelona to declare their interest in the 22-year-old.

Tello's chances in the team have been limited since the arrival of Neymar last summer.
