Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers.

Barnsley host Bolton Wanderers in the Championship on Saturday hoping to continue the recent form which has seen the club climb out of the relegation zone.

Last weekend's 5-3 reversal at fellow strugglers Bristol City was the club's first defeat in six. The result leaves them two points ahead of the bottom three with a game in hand on 22nd-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Bolton will be looking for three points to keep alive their slim hopes of reaching the playoffs, with Dougie Freedman's side currently seven points adrift of sixth place.

Barnsley boss David Flitcroft will be without defender Scott Golbourne, who has undergone surgery on a knee injury. On-loan Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe is expected to retain his place in the starting XI for the game in South Yorkshire.

Freedman could name the same side which beat Peterborough United 1-0 in midweek but David Wheater, Stuart Holden and Chris Eagles are all pushing for starts.

Recent form

Sports Mole says: 1-1
