Sunderland fightback denies Bolton Wanderers

Sunderland come back from two goals down to force an FA Cup replay with Bolton Wanderers.

Sunderland have staged a second-half comeback to take their FA Cup third-round tie with Bolton Wanderers to a replay.

A mistake from Carlos Cuellar allowed Lee Chung-Yong to open the scoring in the 12th minute. The South Korean beat Simon Mignolet from around 20 yards out.

Despite the Black Cats threatening, the Trotters' lead was doubled three minutes after the break thanks to Marvin Sordell.

The 21-year-old headed home after the ball came back into the area from Mignolet's punch.

The Black Cats pushed forward in search of a route back into the game, and were handed a lifeline when substitute Connor Wickham finished from inside the area.

The comeback was complete when Craig Gardner found the top corner of Andy Lonergan's net with a fine right-footed shot from all of 35 yards out.
