Steve Cook signs new deal with Bournemouth

Defender Steve Cook commits immediate his future to Bournemouth by signing a new three-year deal at the Premier League club.

Bournemouth have announced that defender Steve Cook has signed a new three-year deal with the south coast club.

After initially signing on a three-month loan deal, Cook has spent the last four-and-a-half years at the Cherries and after helping the team secure survival in their first season in the Premier League, he had little hesitation in committing his immediate future to the club.

The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "I am really pleased to have it sorted before the summer. It means now that I can go away with no worries and look forward to relaxing and getting ready for pre-season and then next year.

"It wasn't a tough decision for me to stay. My family love it here, I love it here and the club is obviously still growing, so hopefully I can continue to be a part of that."

Cook made a total of 36 appearances in the Premier League during the current campaign, scoring four goals.
