Kristoffer Ajer has sustained a hamstring injury that could see him miss several months of football.
The Brentford defender suffered the problem during their EFL Cup game against Stoke City, which saw the club progress into the quarter-final stage.
However, this injury did lead to Ajer missing out on their most recent Premier League game, and he will also be unavailable for Norway and their upcoming World Cup 2022 qualifying games.
Despite fears that he could be set to miss several months because of the injury, The Athletic have reported that the club is monitoring him and there is a chance he could be available as soon as November 20.
That would potentially mean the defender would be available to face Newcastle United in Premier League action, but he will miss out on Saturday as the Bees face Norwich City.
