David Ball's 10th goal of the season has given Fleetwood Town a 1-0 half-time lead at Burton Albion in a delayed League Two encounter at the Pirelli Stadium.
Kickoff was originally due to take place at 3pm, but that time had to be pushed back by an hour because of heavy pre-match rainfall, which left dangerous amounts of standing water on the pitch.
Once the water was cleared and play got underway, Fleetwood started brighter and deservedly went ahead on 19 minutes when Ball found the top corner from long range.
Fleetwood have won their last three league matches. They will climb above Burton in the table if they record another victory today.
