Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has suggested that he would like to bring in three new players during the January transfer window.
With the Bluebirds competing for promotion to the Premier League, Warnock will look to strengthen his squad at the start of 2018 and funds are said to be available to the veteran manager.
However, rather than spending "silly money", Warnock has revealed that he wants to make one permanent signing and push through two loan deals.
Warnock is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "There's probably only one player who I would bid to buy. The rest are all loan players.
"I've already told him [Tan] I don't want silly money. There aren't many I want to buy. Most of the lads I'd like to loan for a few months, hopefully without a guaranteed buy-out if we won promotion.
"It's difficult to buy players in January. There are four or five loan players. If we can get one or two of them, I'd be delighted. One [signing from the Premier League] probably. The others are our level."
Cardiff currently sit in third place in the Championship standings, eight points adrift of leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.
