Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz believes that Chelsea are a "better" team following the arrival of Cesc Fabregas.
The Spain international moved to Stamford Bridge from Barcelona last summer after Luiz was shipped out to Ligue 1 for around £40m.
The Brazilian, who spent three-and-a-half years at Chelsea, will come face to face with his former club when PSG play the Blues in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League clash on Tuesday.
"Yes, Chelsea are better this season," the London Evening Standard quotes Luiz as saying. "Above all, they are better balanced following the arrival of Fabregas.
"He's perhaps the player they were missing. He balances the midfield, makes the team play well and knows how to hold on to the ball from time to time.
"Chelsea are an experienced team that has already won the Champions League. They are used to this and they knocked out PSG last year, but we mustn't think about that too much. We have to show and up our level and play to all our strengths on the pitch."
Luiz won the Champions League with Chelsea back in 2012.
