Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been handed a fitness boost after scans showed that there was no fracture to his leg following the 3-3 draw with Everton on Saturday.
The Spain international was taken to hospital after the match at Stamford Bridge having been forced to limp off with 10 minutes remaining.
Costa suffered a bruised tibia during a challenge with Leighton Baines and will now return to Chelsea's training base for treatment on the injury, according to reports.
The club have not yet revealed how long they expect the 27-year-old to be out for, although he is a doubt for next Sunday's London derby with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Costa has scored five goals in as many games since the departure of Jose Mourinho having managed only seven goals from January 2015 to the end of Mourinho's reign.
