Winger Eden Hazard says that he regrets how Jose Mourinho's second spell at Chelsea came to an end in 2015.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has suggested that he would have liked to have worked with Jose Mourinho for longer during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard and Mourinho helped the Blues to the Premier League title in 2015, but the Portuguese's third campaign in his second spell at the club ended later that year after a prolonged run of poor form in the top flight.

A number of high-profile Chelsea players - including Hazard - failed to produce their best displays during that period, and the Belgium international has revealed that he has regrets over the situation.

The 27-year-old told HLN: "The last season under Mourinho was not pleasant anymore. We didn't win, we got into a sort of routine, training-training without having fun, it was better for all parties that the collaboration came to an end.

"If I'm now asked one coach with whom I want to work again, then I say: Mourinho.

The playmaker added: "I do not regret many things in my career, but that I have not been able to work with Mourinho at Chelsea anymore [is one]. We had a team to get a lot of prizes, but we just ended up in a negative spiral."

Chelsea eventually ended the 2015-16 campaign in 10th position.
