Jose Mourinho: 'Willian has chosen Chelsea'

Jose Mourinho believes that Brazilian forward Willian has opted for Chelsea over Tottenham.

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he believes Brazilian forward has opted for Chelsea over Tottenham Hotspur.

Just a day ago Willian was expected to complete a £30m move from Anzhi Makhachkala, but Chelsea have now, according to Mourinho, successfully scuppered the deal.

Mourinho suggested that Willian had made up his mind, but did not explicitly mention that the club was Chelsea. He instead chose to reference Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who had previously spoken about the deal and medical for the Brazilian.

"[Whether Willian has chosen Chelsea] is a good question because I think he's already made his decision," Mourinho told reporters. "I don't like to speak before time because football can betray you.

"That's the danger of medicals before contracts. We have to do a medical."

The deal is expected to be confirmed officially in the coming days.
