Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly signalled that neither Timo Werner nor Hakim Ziyech will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window.
Barcelona have been strongly linked with both players, as the Catalan giants attempt to boost their attack at the start of 2022 with the acquisition of a loan signing.
However, according to Sport, Xavi's team have been informed that neither Chelsea player will be available in the middle of the 2021-22 campaign.
The report claims that Tuchel wants to keep the bulk of his first-team squad together for the whole season, with the Blues looking to challenge for the Premier League title and Champions League crown.
Werner has scored three times and registered one assist in 12 appearances for Chelsea during the 2021-22 campaign.
Meanwhile, Ziyech, who was strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge over the summer, has contributed three goals and four assists in 15 outings in all competitions.
