Former Arsenal and Fulham forward Luis Boa Morte praises English supporters after joining Chesterfield until January.

Former Arsenal and Fulham forward Luis Boa Morte has revealed that the 'passion' of English supporters played a key role in his joining Chesterfield.

The 35-year-old completed a move to the League Two outfit last week following spells in Greece and South Africa.

"In other countries the emphasis is just on not letting in a goal and then if you do people say 'well if we lose 1-0 it is not so bad'. It is not like that in England. Here it is always physical, the supporters get the players going and are really enthusiastic," he told the BBC.

Boa Morte last played in England with West Ham United in 2011.
