Phil Jagielka has rallied his Everton teammates to string together a winning streak over Christmas and reignite their bid for Champions League qualification.
The Toffees were humbled 3-0 by Southampton on Saturday, leaving Roberto Martinez's side 11th in the Premier League table - 10 points off fourth-placed West Ham United.
"We are at home on Boxing Day and we need to start picking up some wins and some more points," he is quoted as saying by ESPN.
"It's never easy when we lose 3-0 but we have got games thick and fast now. We need to dust ourselves down and try to put in some good performances.
"We've been saying it for a while now that we need to go on a run."
They host Stoke City on Friday, before facing away trips to Newcastle United two days later and Hull City on New Year's Day.
