Idrissa Gueye is close to finalising personal terms with Everton on a new five-year deal worth £75,000 a week, according to a report.
The Senegal international has been in discussions with the Toffees over extending his stay at Goodison Park, having impressed since joining from Aston Villa last year.
A number of Premier League and European rivals are said to have shown an interest in signing Gueye, but Everton are confident of tying him down until 2022 when he officially commits later this week.
It is claimed by The Sun that the 28-year-old, linked to Chelsea in the summer, will pocket just short of £4m across each of those five years.
However, the same report suggests that a gentleman's agreement will ensure that Everton listen to any future offers for Gueye from Champions League clubs if his valuation is met.
