Saturday's Championship predictions including Fulham vs. West Brom

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures, including Fulham vs. West Bromwich Albion.

Fulham vs. West Brom (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Fulham and West Bromwich Albion square off at Craven Cottage on Saturday with both clubs looking to close the gap on Championship leaders Bournemouth.

These two teams have prevailed in four of their last six league outings, creating distance between themselves and fourth position.

We say: Fulham 2-1 West Bromwich Albion

Despite the narrow margin between these clubs in the standings, we can only back one winner in West London. While the Baggies may make it difficult for the Cottagers for the opening hour, Fulham's extra firepower should make the difference at some stage in the contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Bristol City vs. Barnsley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bristol City and Barnsley meet in the Championship on Saturday afternoon with both managers needing a win to boost their chances of remaining in a job.

While the home side have lost four of their last five matches under Nigel Pearson, Tykes boss Markus Schopp has witnessed his team lose six games in a row.

We say: Bristol City 1-1 Barnsley

With both teams low in confidence, this has the feel of a must-not-lose fixture. While it would not necessarily suit either manager, they will have few complaints with claiming a point from this contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Derby vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Derby County play host to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon knowing that victory will get them back into the mix for survival in the Championship.

While inconsistency has cost the visitors in recent weeks, they head into the fixture at Pride Park sitting just one point adrift of fifth position.

We say: Derby County 1-2 Blackburn Rovers

Under pressure to turn draws into wins, Derby are going to have to throw caution to the wind at some stage. They may view this contest as an ideal opportunity to do just that, but we are backing Blackburn's attacking players to capitalise at the other end.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Huddersfield vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Huddersfield Town and Millwall will both be aiming to break into the Championship playoff positions when they meet on Saturday afternoon.

The two teams are each on 21 points in eighth and 10th respectively, placing them outside of the top six on goal difference only.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-1 Millwall

As their respective points tallies suggest, there is very little to split these two teams. Millwall will go into the game with more confidence due to their recent form, but Huddersfield are back in front of their own fans and will have used the free week to refresh their tired squad; we think this one will end level.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Hull City vs. Coventry (Saturday, 3.00pm)

The two most recent League One title winners meet in the Championship on Saturday as Hull City host Coventry City.

The Tigers are struggling following promotion last season and sit 22nd in the table, while the Sky Blues are surprise high-flyers and sit fourth.

We say: Hull City 1-2 Coventry City

Coventry will view this game as a big opportunity to get back to winning ways and we think that is exactly what they will do in East Yorkshire. Hull look set for a relegation battle and their lack of goals is a big concern.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Middlesbrough vs. Birmingham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Birmingham City manager Lee Bowyer on August 28, 2021© Reuters

Middlesbrough play host to Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon looking to post a fourth successive win, a result which would strengthen their position in the Championship playoff places.

Meanwhile, Blues make the long trip to the Riverside Stadium on the back of ending a seven-match winless streak in the second tier.

We say: Middlesbrough 2-1 Birmingham City

With Blues seemingly back on track, Bowyer will be optimistic that they can earn a positive result in the North-East. However, we can only back Boro to make it four wins in a row, a result which may give them some breathing space in the race for the top six.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Preston vs. Luton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Preston North End manager Frankie McAvoy on October 23, 2021© Reuters

Luton Town will be aiming to extend their unbeaten run to six games when they travel to Preston North End in the Championship on Saturday.

The two teams finished just one point apart last season, but the Hatters have started the new campaign strongly and sit fifth in the table, while the Lilywhites are 19th.

We say: Preston North End 0-1 Luton Town

We are backing the visitors to continue their impressive run of form, largely thanks to their tight defence. Add in the fact that Preston will have had less preparation time due to their midweek cup game and the majority of the signs point towards a Luton win.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sheff Utd vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Sheffield United's Lys Mousset celebrates scoring their first goal with teammates on October 16, 2021© Reuters

Sheffield United and Blackpool will be looking to build on their Championship victories last weekend with another three points, when they do battle at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Just three points separate these two sides in the table, and a victory for either team could see them finish gameweek 15 inside the top half.

We say: Sheffield United 2-2 Blackpool

Blackpool have failed to score in each of their last three meetings against Sheffield United, however they have found the net in 10 of their last 11 Championship games, so we fancy the Tangerines to score at Bramall Lane this weekend.

The Blades have performed well in front of goal in recent weeks, so they should also pose a threat in the final third. With little to separate these two sides, an entertaining score draw could be on the cards.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Stoke vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stoke City's Jacob Brown celebrates scoring their first goal on September 11, 2021© Reuters

Two Championship sides desperate to claim all three points will lock horns on Saturday afternoon as Stoke City welcome managerless Cardiff City to the bet365 Stadium.

Both sides head into Halloween weekend in frightening form, with the Potters losing each of their last four matches across all competitions, while the Bluebirds have suffered eight consecutive league defeats, conceding 19 goals in the process.

We say: Stoke City 2-0 Cardiff City

Cardiff will be hoping that the interim appointment of Steve Morison can provided a much-needed boost as they seek to claim their first league win since September 12 and move clear of the relegation zone.

A closely-fought contest could be on the cards at the bet365 Stadium, however we cannot see the Bluebirds' worst run in over 47 years coming to an end this weekend as playoff hopefuls Stoke should have enough quality to seal all three points on home soil.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Swansea vs. Peterborough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Swansea City's Joel Piroe celebrates scoring their second goal with teammates on October 17, 2021© Reuters

Seeking to bounce back from defeat last weekend, Swansea City welcome Peterborough United to the Liberty Stadium for their Championship clash on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors, meanwhile, will be looking to claim their third successive league win in the second tier for the first time since 2012, and climb further away from the relegation zone.

We say: Swansea City 2-1 Peterborough United

Peterborough have lost six of their seven away games so far this term, five of which were by margins of two or more goals, however Saturday's clash at the Liberty Stadium could be a closer affair.

Both sides will fancy their chances of claiming all three points, though the hosts will be the slight favourites against their newly-promoted counterparts and we expect them to come out on top with a slender victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Reading vs. Bournemouth (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Reading manager Veljko Paunovic pictured on September 18, 2021© Reuters

Championship leaders Bournemouth will be targeting their fifth successive win when they travel to Reading on Saturday evening.

The Cherries are five points clear at the top of the table, while the Royals are two points off the playoffs in 13th.

We say: Reading 0-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth will be strong favourites to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign, particularly with Reading struggling with a host of injuries that has left their side fatigued. All of the Cherries' away games this season have been tight affairs though and this one should be the same.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
