Fulham boss Martin Jol has admitted that signing David Beckham is "a non-starter" after reports linked the former England captain with a move to London.
Beckham, 37, departed Los Angeles Galaxy following their MLS Cup win on Sunday, but it is not yet clear where his next playing destination will be.
France has been touted as an option, with Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco in the race, but the Premier League remains a viable option for the midfielder.
"We want to try and get a younger team. On average, we are the oldest team in the Premier League and it would be crazy to get players like David Beckham for Alex Kacaniklic, Kerim Frei and Pajtim Kasami. He's an unbelievable player and he's good to have around, but for us it's a non-starter," Jol told the Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle.
Beckham is understood to be keen on a return to London.
