Garry O'Connor cleared over diving charge

Hibs striker Garry O'Connor is found not guilty after he was alleged to have dived in a match against St Johnstone last month.

Hibernian striker Garry O'Connor has been cleared over accusations that he dived to win a penalty during his side's SPL win over St Johnstone last month.

Referee Steve Conroy awarded a spot-kick at the time in a match that Hibs went on to win 3-2.

The club contested the accusation at a Scottish FA Fast Track Tribunal, which has upheld the referee's decision.

O'Connor was recently the centre of a drugs scandal after Channel 4's Dispatches television programme claimed that the footballer had tested positive for cocaine.
