Hull City boss Steve Bruce has claimed that Yannick Sagbo can only get better if he shows the right application in training.
The French striker has scored two goals in 14 games for the Tigers following his summer move from Evian.
Despite having reservations over whether Sagbo could adapt to the Premier League, Bruce admits that the forward has settled in better than expected.
"He can only get better. If he stays with it, his game will only get better because it's difficult for any player to come into the Premier League, but he's done it very well," the Hull manager is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"You have to admit you're always taking a bit of a gamble when you're signing somebody from France. Can they adapt quickly and settle down. It's a different game. I was there last week again and it's very different. Yannick is adapting well and let's hope that continues through the rest of the season."
Hull continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they play host to Stoke City.
