Juventus assistant coach Angelo Alessio believes that the dismissal of Torino defender Kamil Glik in the 36th minute changed the Turin derby.

Juventus assistant coach Angelo Alessio has admitted that the dismissal of Kamil Glik was the turning point against Torino on Saturday.

The Torino defender was dismissed in the 36th minute for a dangerous lunge at Emanuele Giaccherini, and the Bianconeri subsequently scored thrice to win the Turin derby 3-0.

"The red card changed the game, but it was also an inevitable decision from the referee," said Alessio.

"We have a basic system, which is the 3-5-2, but [Giorgio] Chiellini did not feel ready to come back and asked for more time to fully recover so he can be fit for Wednesday. We did well with the four-man defence too.

"Paul Pogba made a few mistakes, but he is growing and showed some great things tonight."

Juventus are now five points clear of second-place Napoli at the top of the Serie A table.
