Claudio Marchisio lauds strong Juventus performance

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio hails his side's performance in their 4-1 victory over Atalanta BC in Serie A.

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has hailed his side's performance in their 4-1 win over Atalanta BC in Serie A this afternoon.

The Old Lady produced a commanding display at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia to earn their ninth consecutive victory in the league, thanks to goals from Paul Pogba, Carlos Tevez, Arturo Vidal and Fernando Llorente.

"We've ended 2013 on a positive note and now we'll enjoy our time off before returning to consider the Roma game," Marchisio told reporters after the match.

"We managed to put in a strong performance at a ground where it's always difficult to come away with the win."

Juve's victory ensured that Atalanta fell to only their second home loss of the season.
