Sami Khedira 'open to Premier League move amid Everton interest'

Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira, who continues to be linked with Everton, is reportedly keen on a move to England.

Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League.

The 33-year-old's existing deal in Turin is due to expire next summer, and he is widely expected to leave on a free transfer, having not played a single minute of football during the 2020-21 campaign.

Everton have been strongly linked with the Germany international in recent months, with Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti, who managed the midfielder at Real Madrid, said to be eyeing a reunion.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Khedira is interested in moving to England in the near future, and Everton have been in contact with him for 'some time' as they attempt to secure a deal.

As it stands, the World Cup winner would be free to discuss terms on a pre-contract at the start of 2021, although it has been suggested that he could move to Goodison Park during the January transfer window.

Khedira has made 144 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions.
