The agent of Alex Mowatt has dismissed the suggestion that his client has started contract negotiations with Leeds United.
Manager Steve Evans recently hinted that talks were underway with the 21-year-old, who is about to enter the final 12 months of his deal at Elland Road.
However, when asked by the Yorkshire Evening Post for an update on the situation, the midfielder's representative Mark Rankine stressed that no contact has been made.
"Absolutely [no contract talks] whatsoever. Nobody has spoken to me about it, or to Alex," he said.
Mowatt has risen through the ranks at Leeds, having joined the Championship club aged nine.
