Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has revealed that he is in talks with the club over a new contract ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The Foxes booked their place in the top flight by winning the Championship title by nine points this season, breaking the 100-point barrier with a 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers on the final day of the campaign.
Schmeichel appeared in every match in the title-winning season and is keen to commit his future to the club before his current deal runs out this summer.
"It's up to the club at the moment. We've had some preliminary conversations. Of course I want to stay. We've got to the Premier League and I'm happy here, but it's not up to me," the 27-year-old told BBC Sport.
Leicester top scorer David Nugent is also among the players to be out of contract at the King Power Stadium this summer.
