Ezequiel Schelotto has expressed his interest in joining Leicester City and former manager Claudio Ranieri after his release by Inter Milan.
The 26-year-old is a free agent after leaving Inter, who he made just 13 appearances for in two and a half years.
Schelotto was linked with Leicester last week and he has now confirmed his interest in joining the Foxes. He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'd like to play there and I'm ready to get back into action.
"I don't know what stage the negotiations are at with Leicester, but if (former Foxes and Argentina midfielder Esteban) Cambiasso can do well there, then I'm sure I can too.
"I would never have imagined I'd find myself without a club at the age of 26. Now I'm waiting for a gift - a new club."
Schelotto spent last season on loan with Chievo in Serie A, making 29 league appearances but failing to score a goal.
