Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Liverpool.

Manchester City prepare to renew hostilities with Liverpool once again in the semi-finals of this year's FA Cup at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Premier League champions played out a 2-2 draw with their closest challengers last weekend and enter the semi-final having just scraped past Atletico Madrid to make the last four in the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola's side have seen off Swindon Town, Fulham, Peterborough United and Southampton to make it this far in the FA Cup, but they were in the wars against Atletico.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the semi-final.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Liverpool)

Kevin De Bruyne was forced off in the 65th minute of the second leg with Atletico and has since needed stitches in his calf, so his participation for the semi-final is very much in doubt.

Kyle Walker

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Liverpool)

Similarly, Kyle Walker suffered a nasty-looking ankle twist at the Wanda Metropolitano and had to be withdrawn. The right-back was seen walking around during the tunnel melee after the game, but his participation for the semi-final is also up in the air after he missed training on Friday.

Cole Palmer

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Liverpool)

Cole Palmer is making excellent progress in his recovery from his own ankle problem, and while he was not quite fit enough for the Champions League, he might have a chance of making his comeback at Wembley.
