Jordan Henderson: 'Philippe Coutinho the difference in FA Cup win'

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson suggests that Philippe Coutinho proved to be the difference in the club's FA Cup sixth-round victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has heaped praise on Philippe Coutinho following his winning goal against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

The Anfield club were able to seal passage into the semi-finals of the English showpiece, but only thanks to a solitary goal from the Brazilian playmaker on a difficult night at Ewood Park.

"Philippe Coutinho has a great football brain," Henderson told BT Sport after the game.

"The easiest thing for me is giving him the ball and he finished fantastically well - that little bit of brilliance wins us the game.

"Hopefully we can kick on from here. We've had suspensions and injuries in defence but people have come in and done a great job. Kolo Toure came on for Mamadou Sakho and was immense. It was a great performance."

The Reds will now face Aston Villa at Wembley as they bid to reach the final.
